Canadian Salsa Festivals Project Announces Biggest Ever Series of Events for 2026, Including First-Time Expansion to Niagara Falls

The Canadian Salsa Festivals Project (CSFP) has announced its most ambitious season yet, with a series of festivals running from June through September 2026, including a first-time expansion to Niagara Falls. The new Salsa at Niagara Falls event, scheduled for September 12 and 13, is organized in partnership with Niagara Falls Tourism, Niagara Parks Commission, and Fallsview Casino Resort. Adam Stiles, Interim President and CEO of Niagara Falls Tourism, said, 'Salsa at Niagara Falls is exactly the kind of vibrant, world-class event our destination is made for... we know its energy will ripple through our community and activate Niagara Falls collectively.'

The CSFP also welcomed expanded support from TD Bank Group, which has grown its title sponsorship to include Salsa Tremblant in Quebec's Laurentians region, while renewing as title sponsor of Salsa on St. Clair in Toronto and Salsa at Blue Mountain in Collingwood. Robyn Small, Senior Manager of Philanthropy at TD Bank Group, stated, 'Festivals like TD Salsa on St. Clair bring people together to celebrate what shapes us — our stories, food, music, and art. We’re proud to support access to cultural experiences that help people feel welcome, seen and connected.'

Returning festivals include TD Salsa at Blue Mountain from June 26–28, which Patti Kendall, President of the Blue Mountain Village Association, described as 'a highly anticipated event that brings vibrant Latin energy to the Village... driving meaningful economic activity at Blue and throughout the region.' TD Salsa on St. Clair, Canada's largest Latin-themed free street festival, will take place July 11–12 in Toronto's Hillcrest Village, featuring over 350 live performers, weekend headliners including JUNO nominee Andy Rubal and award-winning artist Yani Borrell, the Fiesta Parade presented by Lenpanada, and over 35 authentic Latin food vendors representing 15+ countries. TD Salsa Tremblant returns for its third year from August 21–23, with Nicolas Dien, Event Director of Tremblant Resort Association, noting, 'This event perfectly embodies Tremblant’s DNA — a vibrant, welcoming destination where music, dance, and nature come together.'

Additional programs include the Vibrante Latin Art Exhibition at Toronto's Little EGG Gallery from June 6 to July 12, featuring emerging Latino artists under 18. Free dance lessons for salsa, bachata, and Latin dance will be offered across Southern Ontario from May to August. Salsa on Market Street returns on August 9, transforming Toronto's Old Town into an open-air celebration. Family salsa dance lessons at Toronto museums will run from August to October. The festival series is founded by TLN Media Group and produced by CSFP, a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization. Aldo Di Felice, President of TLN Media Group, said, 'Salsa in Toronto has become one of Canada’s premier cultural celebrations, bringing together hundreds of thousands of people each year while showcasing the power of music, culture, and community to create meaningful social and economic impact across Ontario and beyond.'

These events are expected to drive tourism and economic activity in host regions, while fostering cultural appreciation and community engagement. The expansion to Niagara Falls, in particular, aims to attract international visitors and strengthen the area's reputation as a year-round destination. With increased corporate sponsorship and a diverse lineup, the 2026 season underscores the growing significance of Latin cultural festivals in Canada's social and economic fabric.
