Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) will open a new 20,000-square-foot clinic in Plano, Texas, marking its fifth location in the state and addressing the critical need for specialized brain injury treatment. The facility, set to welcome patients in winter 2025-2026, will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for individuals recovering from traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
The new clinic will offer advanced treatment programs including vision therapy, neurobehavior rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, and specialized physical and occupational therapy. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies like the ZeroG® Gait and Balance System and Bioness Integrated Therapy System, CNS will provide individualized care for patients with complex neurological conditions.
The expansion comes at a critical time, as brain injury statistics in Texas are alarming. According to the Texas Brain Injury Alliance, 144,000 Texans sustain a traumatic brain injury annually, with one injury occurring every four minutes. More than 381,000 Texans live with a disability resulting from brain injury, representing 2% of the state's population.
CNS CEO David Harrington highlighted the strategic importance of the Plano location, noting the region's significant population growth and the increasing demand for specialized post-acute care. The clinic's proximity to Dallas North Tollway and area airports will facilitate access for patients from North Texas and neighboring states like Oklahoma.
With its comprehensive approach to brain injury rehabilitation, the new Plano clinic represents a significant investment in neurological healthcare, offering hope and advanced treatment options for individuals and families affected by brain injuries.
