CHORD Real Estate has announced that registration is now open for the third annual Invest Panama Summit, scheduled for January 21 through January 24, 2027, in Panama City, Panama. The four-day guided experience is designed to bring prospective buyers and investors directly into Panama’s real estate market, moving beyond remote research to in-person evaluation. Interested parties can register at chordrealestate.com/investpanamasummit.
The announcement follows the second annual summit, held in May 2026, which drew twelve participants from across North America. CHORD expects the third edition to attract a larger group. The program begins Thursday evening with a welcome reception, giving attendees a chance to meet the group and connect with CHORD’s principals before property tours begin. Friday and Saturday are dedicated to visits across Panama City’s primary development zones, including established urban districts, waterfront communities, and master-planned residential projects. On Saturday, the tour extends to Panama’s Pacific coast, including the Chame District and Playa Caracol, where major resort and residential brands are currently under construction. Sunday is reserved for leisure time in the city ahead of departure.
Participants meet directly with developers, walk active construction sites, and tour the areas and projects they have been researching remotely. Feedback from previous summits has been consistent: attendees describe the on-the-ground experience as categorically different from anything research alone produces, with several entering negotiations on properties during the summit itself. “Every market has its nuances,” said Steve Luther, founder of CHORD Real Estate. “The best way to understand what you are actually buying is to see it yourself, meet the people behind it, and ask your questions in person. That is what the summit is built around.”
The summit’s importance lies in Panama’s real estate market, which varies significantly by zone. Each area visited carries its own characteristics, price points, and considerations. For North American buyers weighing a second home, a rental property, or a residency-linked purchase, that variation can make remote decision-making risky. The summit format is designed to provide the context needed to evaluate which opportunities align with specific goals, reducing the information gap that often slows or derails international purchases.
For the broader industry, the event reflects continued cross-border interest in Panama among American and Canadian buyers. CHORD Real Estate is a Nashville-based firm specializing in residential and international property services. Through its international division, CHORD works with American and Canadian clients exploring real estate ownership in Panama and beyond, with established partnerships covering real estate representation, legal services, property management, and developer relationships. As international property investment remains attractive, guided programs like this summit may serve as a model for connecting buyers with vetted opportunities and local expertise.
Spots are limited and allocated on a first-come basis. Prospective participants are encouraged to reach out early to discuss the program and reserve their place. For more information or to speak with Steve or Ashley Luther directly, visit chordrealestate.com/investpanamasummit.
