The DFW Car & Toy Museum has unveiled a meticulously restored 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible, offering automotive enthusiasts a glimpse into mid-20th century American car design and innovation. Part of the Ron Sturgeon Collection, this classic vehicle represents a significant era in automotive engineering and style.
The convertible features a robust 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission, complemented by recent updates including new paint, a fresh top, and refurbished brakes. Its well-preserved original interior provides visitors an authentic experience of 1960s automotive craftsmanship.
Museum owner Ron Sturgeon highlighted the Corvair's significance, noting its unique engineering and timeless appeal. The vehicle joins an extensive collection of classic cars, toys, and memorabilia that celebrate automotive history.
Located in North Fort Worth, the museum offers visitors a comprehensive exploration of automotive nostalgia across 150,000 square feet of exhibition space. Open Tuesday through Saturday, the museum provides free admission and parking, making this automotive treasure accessible to car enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
