Coca-Cola Music Hall to Host First-Ever Boxing Event

Puerto Rico’s Coca-Cola Music Hall is set to host its first-ever boxing event on Friday, October 18, as part of Salita Promotions’ “Big Time Boxing – Puerto Rico” series. This historic event, organized in collaboration with PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) and 21 Events, will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.

This landmark occasion underscores the Coca-Cola Music Hall’s versatility as a premier entertainment destination. Opened in 2021 and located in the heart of DISTRITO T-Mobile, the venue has primarily hosted top Latin American and international artists. The upcoming boxing event aims to expand its scope by accommodating diverse types of events.

Dmitriy Salita, president of Salita Promotions, emphasized Puerto Rico's longstanding tradition of producing boxing legends. “Puerto Rico has been the cradle of boxing greatness for generations, producing some of the greatest stars the sport has ever seen,” said Salita. He expressed excitement about partnering with PRBBP and 21 Events to discover the next generation of boxing superstars from the island.

The fight card for the event, which will include up to eight matches, will be announced soon. Fans can find more information and purchase tickets on www.ticketera.com and the venue’s official website, www.cocacolamusichall.com.

Jorge L. Pérez, Regional General Manager of ASM Global in Puerto Rico, highlighted the significance of this event. “We are honored to host our first boxing event at the Coca-Cola Music Hall. This historic event highlights the versatility of our venue, proving it can accommodate a diverse array of events. We are ready to welcome the fans for what will undoubtedly be a memorable night,” Pérez stated.

Iván Rivera, president of PRBBP, echoed this sentiment, recalling the first boxing event at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot 20 years ago. “We are happy to work with the Coca-Cola Music Hall and the Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority team to make history again with this event,” Rivera said.

Mariela Vallines, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority (PRCCDA), also expressed pride in presenting Championship Boxing at the Coca-Cola Music Hall for the first time. She noted that this event would help promote Puerto Rico worldwide through DAZN’s streaming network.

This event is a pivotal moment for both the Coca-Cola Music Hall and Puerto Rican boxing, setting a new precedent for the types of events the venue can host while continuing to honor the island’s rich boxing heritage.
