Collegiate basketball stars from three Southeastern universities are partnering with The Dairy Alliance to showcase milk's nutritional benefits through a dynamic social media campaign called "Milk's Got Game".
The campaign features North Carolina State's Zamareya Jones, University of Kentucky's Jaxson Robinson, and University of Tennessee's Zakai Zeigler, who will demonstrate how dairy milk supports athletic performance. These athletes will highlight milk's unique nutritional profile, emphasizing its role in muscle recovery, hydration, and overall health.
Dairy milk offers unique advantages for athletes, providing 8 grams of complete protein per serving, natural electrolytes, and essential nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, and potassium. The campaign also addresses lactose-intolerant individuals by promoting lactose-free dairy milk options.
Steve Troxler, North Carolina's Commissioner of Agriculture, praised the partnership as a celebration of both local athletic talent and dairy production. Geri Berdak, CEO of The Dairy Alliance, noted the campaign's strategic focus on engaging Gen Z through influential athletes and educating them about nutrition.
By leveraging the popularity of college basketball players, The Dairy Alliance aims to transform perceptions of milk from a simple beverage to a performance-enhancing nutritional powerhouse. The campaign underscores milk's potential to support athletic performance and overall wellness for diverse populations.
