Comedy Village has completed its first year of operation in Times Square, establishing itself as the area's premier stage for stand-up comedy since opening in August 2024. The venue has successfully attracted both comedy legends and emerging talent, creating a unique platform where established performers and newcomers share the same stage.
The club's programming has featured legendary comedians including Bill Burr, T.J. Miller, Dave Attell, Judah Friedlander, Ben Bailey, and Donnell Rawlings. Simultaneously, it has provided exposure for rising stars such as Eagle Witt and Brittany Brave, offering audiences access to the full spectrum of stand-up comedy talent.
Founded by longtime New York comedian, actor, veteran, and writer PJ Landers, Comedy Village was conceived with a specific vision: to combine an upscale, audience-focused atmosphere with the authentic energy characteristic of classic New York comedy clubs. The venue operates seven nights weekly, presenting two shows from Sunday through Thursday and three shows every Friday and Saturday.
Landers stated, "One year ago, we set out to create a space where audiences could feel the raw, unfiltered magic of stand-up comedy — and where both legends and newcomers could shine. Today, we're proud to see Comedy Village become not just a stage, but a community. And we're only getting started."
The club has developed into a central hub for various comedy styles, featuring sharp observational humor, fearless political satire, and diverse comedic approaches. This programming diversity has contributed to its rapid establishment as a significant cultural venue in the Times Square entertainment landscape.
To commemorate its first anniversary, Comedy Village is offering a special promotion: 50% off tickets this week only using code HappyBirthday. This initiative provides both new attendees and regular patrons an opportunity to experience what has become Times Square's dedicated home for comedy performance.
