The 2024 Future Innovation Tech Expo (FIX 2024) launched on October 23 at Daegu EXCO, marking South Korea's largest technology exhibition to date. Global tech giants including Tesla, Hyundai Mobis, ABB Korea, SK, and KT are participating, alongside an international conference featuring experts from Nvidia and RoMeLa. The expo's East Wing focuses on mobility, displaying electric, hydrogen, and autonomous vehicles from major automakers. A dedicated Urban Air Mobility (UAM) pavilion, organized in collaboration with SKT, Korea Airports Corporation, and Hanwha Systems, offers visitors a chance to experience a life-size UAM simulator.
The West Wing hosts exhibitions on robotics, AI, Big Data, and Blockchain (ABB), including the Korean debut of RoMeLa's bipedal robot, ARTEMIS. Leading tech companies such as SK, KT, AWS, and ESTsoft are showcasing their latest innovations, with immersive experiences featuring The Sandbox's Apple Vision Pro and XR gaming content from Skonec Entertainment.
Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-Pyo emphasized the expo's significance, stating, "FIX 2024 is a specialized exhibition where visitors can witness the forefront of advanced industries driven by innovation." He expressed his vision for the event to evolve into a world-renowned platform for applied technology, comparable to CES in the United States.
