Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, announced the appointment of Dr. Barry Childe as chief information security officer. In this role, Childe will lead the company's cybersecurity strategy, strengthen data protection across its tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization platforms, and oversee initiatives focused on AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.

Dr. Childe brings more than 40 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology. His career includes leadership positions at HSBC, Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, as well as co-founding quantum-encryption company Arqit. CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley highlighted that Childe's expertise in cryptography, high-performance computing and quantum-resistant security will help support the company's secure infrastructure as it expands its tokenization, valuation and data monetization platforms.

The appointment comes at a critical time as Datavault AI expands its Web 3.0-focused offerings. The company's cloud-based platform provides solutions through its Acoustic Sciences and Data Sciences divisions. The Acoustic Sciences division features WiSA, ADIO and Sumerian patented technologies for spatial and multi-channel wireless sound transmission. The Data Science division leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing for data perception, valuation and secure monetization.

Datavault AI's platform serves multiple industries including sports and entertainment, events and venues, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, healthcare and energy. The company's Information Data Exchange enables Digital Twins and the licensing of name, image and likeness by securely attaching physical real-world objects to immutable metadata. The technology suite is fully customizable with AI- and machine-learning-based automation, third-party integration, detailed analytics and marketing automation.

Childe's background in quantum-resistant security is particularly noteworthy as the industry faces growing threats from quantum computing capabilities that could potentially break current encryption standards. By focusing on quantum-resistant technologies, Datavault AI aims to future-proof its platforms against such threats. The company's emphasis on AI security also addresses increasing concerns about the integrity and safety of AI-driven systems in data monetization and tokenization.

Investors and industry observers will be watching how Childe's leadership influences Datavault AI's security posture and its ability to attract clients concerned about data protection. The appointment underscores the company's commitment to maintaining robust security as it scales its operations in the competitive Web 3.0 landscape.
