Main Event, the family entertainment chain owned by Dave & Buster's Entertainment, Inc., is set to open its first Minnesota location at the Tamarack Hills in Woodbury this August. However, the company announced that 10 bowling pins have gone missing just days before the grand opening, and it is turning to the community for help.
According to a press release, the missing shipment never reached its final destination, and time is running out before the August 3 opening. Starting July 19 through July 28, locals can visit Main Event's lost pins page for daily clues about where the pins are hidden for a chance to win prizes. Each recovered pin unlocks a VIP invite for five and a full year of free games. Whoever finds the Golden Pin takes home the ultimate prize of Main Event for life.
"We are so excited to bring the Main Event experience to Minnesota, but we need the community's detective skills to help us get our lanes ready for action," said Michael Frisby, General Manager of the Woodbury Main Event. "We've hidden these pins throughout Woodbury, and we can't wait to see who can track them down and claim their prize before our grand opening on August 3!"
Main Event Woodbury will offer nonstop entertainment including laser tag, bowling, arcade games, and more. Guests can enjoy a full-service restaurant and bar featuring dishes such as the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich, Funnel Cake Fries, and drinks like the Cotton Candy Shirley Temple and Margarita Flight. The new venue invites friends and families to enjoy interactive games, friendly competition, and great food and drinks in one high-energy space.
