The DFW Car & Toy Museum is set to revolutionize automotive enthusiasts' experiences with its expansive collection of rare vehicles and vintage collectibles when it opens April 1, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
At the heart of the museum's collection is a pristine 1991 Acura NSX, a supercar that represents a pivotal moment in automotive engineering. With just over 3,500 miles on its odometer, the red NSX embodies technological innovation of its era, featuring a mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower and cutting-edge performance technologies developed with input from Formula One champion Ayrton Senna.
The museum offers visitors a comprehensive journey through automotive history, displaying more than 200 meticulously curated vehicles spanning multiple decades and genres. From classic muscle cars to European exotics and historical American automobiles, the collection provides a rich narrative of automotive evolution.
Unlike traditional museums, the DFW Car & Toy Museum distinguishes itself through unique accessibility features. Free admission, dog-friendly policies, and an additional collection of over 3,000 vintage toys ensure a welcoming environment for diverse audiences. The 150,000-square-foot facility promises an immersive experience that transcends traditional automotive exhibitions.
Housed in a new North Fort Worth location, the museum operates Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Its extensive collection not only preserves automotive history but also provides insight into technological innovation, design evolution, and cultural shifts reflected through transportation.
