European technology company ERZIA has completed the delivery of 36 advanced Ka-Band transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) subsystems designed to support a cutting-edge satellite constellation focused on global weather monitoring. The custom-engineered RF modules represent a significant advancement in satellite-based meteorological observation technology.
The newly developed subsystems demonstrate exceptional technical capabilities, including 100 dB isolation between transmit and receive paths and high-rejection filtering to minimize signal interference. With over 34 dBm of output power and a low noise figure, these units enable real-time, high-resolution radar observations of atmospheric conditions.
Alejandro Rodriguez, ERZIA's R&D Director, emphasized the significance of the project, noting that the company successfully met challenging engineering timelines while maintaining superior performance and reliability standards. The technological breakthrough will potentially improve weather forecasting accuracy, particularly in regions with limited existing radar infrastructure.
