ERZIA announced the launch of a new line of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf RF microwave amplifiers specifically engineered for New Space missions, addressing the industry's growing demand for faster delivery times and cost efficiency without performance compromises. The Spanish RF technology company's new product line responds to the accelerated pace and budget constraints characteristic of modern space programs.
The current lineup includes 13 new COTS RF amplifiers targeting satellite and payload manufacturers, SmallSat developers, and commercial space integrators operating in low Earth orbit (LEO), medium Earth orbit (MEO), and cis-lunar orbits. Each amplifier delivers best-in-class RF performance while incorporating enhancements that make the units flight-ready for next-generation space missions.
ERZIA's New Space COTS line has been engineered to meet rigorous mission demands, featuring radiation-tolerant circuitry validated up to 30 Krad and 32 MeV for proven resilience in harsh space environments. The units incorporate vacuum-compatible housings and integrated depressurization structures to withstand rapid decompression, while outgassing-compliant materials ensure compliance with strict mission standards.
Leveraging automotive-grade components, the products are prepared for demanding thermal, vibration, and acceleration environments. Every delivery includes a complete Acceptance Test Report at three temperatures by default, with additional screening options available upon request. The product line encompasses both high-power amplifiers (HPAs) and low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) covering a broad frequency range for applications including communications payloads, navigation, telemetry, radar, and tracking and command systems.
David Diez, ERZIA's Managing Director, stated that New Space programs require rapid development cycles and face intense cost pressure. The company developed this product line to provide commercial satellite builders and integrators with immediate access to flight-ready RF hardware engineered specifically for New Space requirements. The official unveiling occurs this week at European Microwave Week 2025 in Utrecht, featuring three flagship models.
