flatexDEGIRO Appoints Dominik Beier as Chief Growth Officer to Drive European Expansion

flatexDEGIRO, one of Europe’s leading online brokerage platforms, announced on September 2, 2026, the creation of a new executive role: Chief Growth Officer (CGO). Dominik Beier, a seasoned growth leader with experience at Bitpanda, Interwetten, and Sportradar, will assume the position in January 2027, reporting directly to CEO Oliver Behrens. This move underscores the company’s commitment to accelerating its growth trajectory and strengthening its market position across Europe.

The newly created role consolidates growth strategy, brand leadership, and customer development at the group level. Beier will be responsible for further developing the Group’s growth and brand strategy, as well as driving closer integration between product, customer experience, and marketing. By placing these functions under a single executive, flatexDEGIRO aims to align its strategic initiatives more effectively and respond to evolving customer needs.

Beier brings extensive experience in scaling digital platforms and leading international expansion. At Bitpanda, he served as Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing marketing, growth, and global expansion. Prior to that, he held the position of CEO at Interwetten Group and held senior leadership roles at Sportradar, a leading sports technology company. His track record in driving user acquisition and engagement in the fintech and digital sectors is expected to be instrumental in flatexDEGIRO’s next phase.

Oliver Behrens, CEO of flatexDEGIRO, commented on the appointment: “flatexDEGIRO has established a unique position in Europe. At the same time, we see significant opportunities to expand our reach, engage new customer segments, and further strengthen our market position. With Dominik, we are gaining one of Europe’s most accomplished growth leaders, who has repeatedly demonstrated throughout his career how to successfully unlock exactly this kind of potential.”

Dominik Beier expressed his enthusiasm: “What excites me about flatexDEGIRO is the company’s tremendous potential. The Group has a unique market position in Europe, a large customer base, and an excellent foundation to inspire significantly more people to invest. I look forward to working with the team to unlock this potential and actively shape the company’s next stage of development.”

This strategic appointment comes as flatexDEGIRO seeks to attract new investor segments and deepen its penetration in existing markets. The company currently serves more than 3.5 million customers across 16 countries, holds over EUR 100 billion in assets under custody, and executed over 75 million securities transactions in 2025. By leveraging Beier’s expertise, flatexDEGIRO aims to enhance its brand appeal and customer engagement, ultimately driving sustainable growth.

According to the company, this leadership expansion is a key element of its strategy to further solidify its position as Europe’s leading wealth-building platform. The integration of growth, brand, and customer development under a dedicated executive is expected to foster innovation and agility, enabling flatexDEGIRO to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the online brokerage industry.

Beier’s appointment is effective January 2027, and he will become a member of the Executive Board. This announcement follows a period of significant growth for flatexDEGIRO, which has expanded its offerings and customer base through its brokerage platforms DEGIRO, flatex, and ViTrade. The company provides access to trading on around 50 exchanges across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as over-the-counter trading.

With this move, flatexDEGIRO demonstrates its commitment to investing in leadership and strategic capabilities to navigate an increasingly competitive landscape. As the online brokerage sector continues to evolve, the company’s focus on growth and customer-centricity positions it well for future success.
