Focus Universal Achieves Certifications for Smart IoT Devices, Paving Way for Global Market Expansion

Focus Universal Inc. (Nasdaq: FCUV), a provider of patented hardware and software design technologies for the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G, announced that its Universal Smart Device and associated sensors have successfully completed certification processes conducted by accredited laboratories GRG Metrology & Test Group Co., Ltd. and Centre Testing International Group Co., Ltd. The certified products include the universal smart device, pH sensor, total dissolved solids (TDS) sensor, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensor, total dissolved oxygen sensor, and turbidity sensors.

The certifications, issued by laboratories in Asia, hold international credibility, which is expected to facilitate Focus Universal's market development both locally and globally. According to Dr. Desheng Wang, CEO of Focus Universal, "The completion of the certification process is therefore a significant step forward. It removes a key commercialization barrier and allows us to move from technology development toward broader domestic and international market deployment."

This milestone comes at a time when the IoT industry is poised for substantial growth. Statista projects that the number of IoT devices worldwide will increase from 19.8 billion in 2025 to over 40.6 billion by 2034. Additionally, the global IoT market, valued at USD 1.18 trillion in 2023, is expected to reach USD 2.65 trillion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 11.4% from 2024 to 2030.

Despite this growth potential, the industry has faced significant challenges. Cisco reports a 75% failure rate for IoT projects, while Microsoft found that 30% of projects fail at the early proof-of-concept stage. Focus Universal's Universal Smart IoT platform aims to address these issues by providing a common foundation that can potentially reduce hardware and software development requirements by up to 90%. This simplification is designed to make IoT as cost-effective and straightforward as traditional standalone devices, while delivering full IoT capabilities.

The company's technology, which required over 20 years of development, includes five patented technology platforms with 26 patents and patents pending, as well as eight trademarks pending. These innovations are intended to reduce costs, development timelines, and energy usage while enhancing range, speed, efficiency, and security.

With the certifications now in hand, Focus Universal is positioned to accelerate the adoption of its IoT solutions across various industries. The company's focus on simplifying IoT deployment could play a decisive role in unlocking the full potential of the IoT revolution, particularly as the number of connected devices continues to expand globally.
