Miami attorney Giselle Gutierrez has been named to the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Litigation - Labor and Employment for the Coral Gables, Florida region. The recognition, released on August 20, 2026, marks her first inclusion on the publication's primary list. She had previously been recognized on Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, the early-career list, since 2022.
The importance of this honor lies in its methodology. The Best Lawyers in America, now in its 33rd year, does not accept self-nomination. Attorneys enter consideration only through nomination by a peer, after which currently recognized lawyers in the same practice area and region complete confidential evaluations. The 2027 edition recognizes attorneys across 151 practice areas and 203 metropolitan and geographic regions, representing roughly the top five percent of practicing attorneys. Results were informed by millions of confidential evaluations from tens of thousands of voting attorneys.
“Peer review recognition is distinct from other forms of professional acknowledgment, because the evaluations are submitted by attorneys who have observed the work directly, including those who have opposed it,” Gutierrez said. “Inclusion on this list reflects the judgment of colleagues who practice in the same courts and appear before the same agencies. I am grateful for their consideration and for the confidence our clients continue to place in this firm.”
Gutierrez is the founding attorney of Exhibit G Law Firm, a business and employment law practice serving South Florida and northern New Jersey, with offices in Miami and Hoboken. The firm represents both businesses and individuals in matters ranging from discrimination and sexual harassment to retaliation and wage and overtime disputes. It also handles whistleblower claims and advises on separation agreement and employment contract matters. A full list of practice areas is available on the firm's website.
For clients and the broader legal industry, the listing carries practical weight. Best Lawyers inclusion is often used as a signal of an attorney's standing, particularly in litigation-heavy fields like labor and employment where peer reputation can influence case outcomes and client decisions. Gutierrez's recognition suggests that her courtroom and agency work is held in high regard by opposing counsel and colleagues alike.
Beyond this honor, Gutierrez has received the Daily Business Review's On The Rise award in the 2025 Florida Legal Awards, Lawyers of Distinction in 2025, the University of Florida Levin College of Law Outstanding Young Alumnus Award, and Miami Today's Achiever recognition. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and served as president of the Cuban American Bar Association in 2023 and on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors.
As employment law continues to evolve with shifting workplace norms and regulatory changes, recognition from peers may help position Gutierrez and her firm as a trusted resource for businesses and employees navigating complex disputes in South Florida and New Jersey.
