Heliostar Metals Strengthens Financial Position with Record Production

Heliostar Metals Ltd (TSXV: HSTR) has reported record gold production and a strengthened cash position in its second quarter results, providing a more solid foundation for its development pipeline. The company achieved a 26% quarter-over-quarter increase in gold production to 14,803 ounces, with revenue reaching $56.5 million and mine operating earnings of $31.1 million. Despite a $10 million initial payment for the Goldstrike acquisition, cash reserves grew to $43.0 million, according to an update from Stonegate Capital Partners.

The improved financial performance is attributed to San Agustin reaching steady-state production and continued low-cost production at La Colorada. These operations have bolstered the company's operating cash flow, which is expected to bridge funding to its flagship Ana Paula project. The quarter-over-quarter net income decline was due to the annual option grant, higher taxes, and foreign exchange effects, rather than weaker mine performance, the update noted.

Ana Paula remains the principal step-change growth project for Heliostar. The company is targeting a Feasibility Study in the second quarter of 2027, with an underground permit submission expected in the third quarter of 2026 and first gold production targeted before the end of 2028. The Expansion Zone at Ana Paula provides potential upside beyond the current development case, while permitting and project financing remain key execution variables.

In addition to Ana Paula, the Goldstrike acquisition adds 1.065 million ounces of attributable gold resources and emerging antimony optionality. Surface work has confirmed mineralization at Antimony Ridge and identified a new target, Antimony Knoll, located 1.7 kilometers to the west. An initial drilling program of approximately 1,500 meters is underway, with results expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Goldstrike broadens Heliostar's longer-term pipeline, though the remaining staged purchase consideration should be reflected consistently in valuation.

Near-mine reserve growth is expected to improve visibility beyond 2026, while key markers for the company include reserve conversion, execution at the Veta Madre vein, and Ana Paula permitting. Stonegate Capital Partners, which provides equity research and investor relations services, highlighted these developments in its coverage update.

The company's record production and cash balance, coupled with the progress at Ana Paula and Goldstrike, position Heliostar to advance its growth objectives while maintaining a solid financial footing. Investors will be watching for results from the Goldstrike drilling program and continued progress on the Ana Paula feasibility study and permitting process.
