The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host its annual August events from 13 to 17 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a focus on wellness and quality living under the theme 'Live Well.Stay Well'. The events include the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, 12th Home Delights Expo, 4th Food Expo PRO, and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair, along with the International Conference on the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM).
The fairs will bring together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, featuring international delicacies, premium teas, health and beauty products, and smart home solutions. This year marks the first time that exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, including debut participants Brunei and Timor-Leste, will be present. Additionally, Colombia and Greece are participating for the first time, and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products.
One of the highlights is the expansion of the Korea Pavilion, which has grown by 40% to host over 130 exhibitors, making it the largest overseas pavilion. The Food Expo PRO introduces a new 'Meat Zone' to meet the demand for premium meat products, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue and a Hong Kong brand's halal-certified beef tendon balls. The 'Coffee Zone' returns with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States, offering a wider range of coffee beans and equipment. The 'Food Science and Technology Zone' will showcase alternative foods and food-service technologies, including an intelligent food-service robot.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will feature rare teas such as the first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud raw pu'er tea from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion, highlighting traditional craftsmanship. The new 'TeaLifestyle' zone will present innovative tea products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, demonstrating tea culture's integration into modern living.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo introduces the 'Stay Relax' zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated balms, while the 'Scentsation' zone returns with interactive fragrance experiences. The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep with the 'Go Sleep Exp' zone and smart living, featuring HKT's F5G-A 2500M Super Broadband service.
The ICMCM conference, expanded to three days, will discuss 'Clinical Translation, Regulatory Policies and Global Innovative Pathways of Traditional Medicine', with over 30 speakers from around the world. For the public, a 'Multi-Facet of Chinese Medicines' display and an ICMCM Public Forum will be held at the Food Expo.
