Intrepid Metals Corp has revealed the final results from its initial drill program at the Corral Copper Property in Cochise County, Arizona. CEO Ken Brophy shared these findings, highlighting the highest-grade intercepts located within the Ringo Zone along the southern margin of a 3.5-kilometer-long trend of near-surface copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralization.
The drill program intercepted extensive and locally high-grade copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralization across the 3.5-kilometer metal endowed trend, which includes the Holliday, Earp, and Ringo zones at Corral Copper. Notable results include 112.95 meters of 1.50% Copper, 0.53 grams per ton Gold, and 8.22 grams per ton Silver in Hole CC24_023.
These new geological data will be instrumental in targeting porphyry copper-gold root sources of the mineralization and extending the high-grade replacement style polymetallic domains. The findings suggest that the mineralized footprint is more extensive than previously understood, with robust copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralization detected beyond the favorable Abrigo Formation host rocks. These new discoveries span structural corridors and traps, porphyry intrusions, reactive diabase dikes, and newly recognized hydrothermal breccias.
CEO Ken Brophy expressed optimism regarding these promising results, emphasizing the potential for significant expansion and further exploration at the Corral Copper Property. This development indicates a significant advancement in understanding the property's mineralization, which could lead to increased resource estimates and future mining opportunities.
