Visual Insights Nano Course Series

Developed in collaboration with visiWealth, 'Visual Insights' is an interactive monthly nano course series focusing on complex topics related to education, investment, retirement, estate, and tax planning. This series is designed to simplify intricate financial concepts for advisors to use during client discussions, enhancing client understanding. Each nano course can be completed in 10-15 minutes and is a complimentary benefit for Institute members.

Ross Riskin, Chief Learning Officer of the Institute, emphasized the importance of simplifying complex financial information to better serve clients. The first course, launched on July 18, 2024, examines 'The 4% Rule' for retirement withdrawals, with future topics including 529 College Savings Plan considerations and the workings of Charitable Trusts.

Strategic Planning for Business Owners Short Course

The 'Strategic Planning for Business Owners' course addresses the unique financial planning needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. Eligible for 5 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit, the course covers critical planning issues such as choosing the appropriate business entity type, understanding tax implications, and succession planning.

Riskin, who architected the course, highlighted the necessity for advisors to be prepared for diverse client questions ranging from tax savings to compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act. The course features contributions from industry experts including Sara Dorosti of Comerica Bank and Leslie Geller of Capital Group.

These initiatives reflect the Institute's commitment to providing cutting-edge educational content through its Academy platform, which offers a wide array of certificate programs, short courses, microcourses, and webinars aimed at earning CE credits.
