Joye Law Firm has announced its 2025 Scholarship Program, offering $14,000 in financial support to help South Carolina students pursue higher education. The firm will award seven scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors planning to attend four-year institutions this fall.
The scholarship selection process evaluates candidates on multiple criteria, including academic performance, leadership roles, community involvement, creative endeavors, and special honors. A unique aspect of the program is a dedicated scholarship for students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), demonstrating the firm's commitment to diverse educational opportunities.
Managing Partner Ken Harrell emphasized the importance of education, stating that the scholarship program represents an investment in South Carolina's future leaders. The initiative aims to help students overcome financial barriers to higher education.
An innovative component of the program allows scholarship applicants to nominate a teacher who has significantly influenced their academic journey. Winning students, their families, and nominated teachers will be honored at a celebratory banquet in June.
Since 2006, Joye Law Firm has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to supporting student education. Interested students can apply online through the firm's website, with the application deadline set for May 1st.
