Kaufman & Company Launches Eight Brands to Streamline Its Multibillion-Dollar Platform

Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company founded by Daniel Kaufman, announced on October 7, 2026, the launch of eight distinct brands that will represent its portfolio across residential, places, and infrastructure asset classes. The brands—Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender, and ZeroPoint—will be rolled out over the next twelve months, rebranding every current asset and future project.

The new structure addresses a growing complexity: as Kaufman & Company expanded to ten operating companies, the names on paperwork no longer reflected how residents, partners, and cities experience its work. The brands aim to give each audience—from families seeking attainable housing to hyperscale tenants needing power and capacity—a clear answer about what they are getting, without needing to know which entity built it. Each brand represents a community or asset class focus, not a separate legal entity, and all are endorsed by Kaufman & Company and built by its operating companies.

“We have been building across almost every asset class at once, and the work deserved names that say what it is,” said Daniel Kaufman, Founder and CEO. “A Haven community, a Foundry community and a ZeroPoint campus solve very different problems. Our operating companies still do the building. The brands tell residents, partners and cities what they can count on from us, wherever we show up.”

The residential brands include Haven for attainable housing, operated by Design Build Affordable, with featured concepts like Haven at Shelburne in Vermont. Foundry focuses on workforce housing near employment centers, operated by DanReDev, with Falls Landing in Winooski, Vermont. Trellis targets the middle market with townhomes and small multifamily buildings, operated by Kaufman Development, including Greenview Residences in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Convivium is a vertically integrated co-living platform, while Everwell serves active adults, with its first concept in the Nashville market.

For places, District creates mixed-use destinations, operated by Forge Development Partners, with projects like Mill Creek Junction in Antioch, Tennessee. Weekender is a design-driven hospitality brand operated by DEK Builds, with its first properties to be announced.

In infrastructure, ZeroPoint is the institutional brand for AI infrastructure, operated by Kaufman Development. Its first deployment, Project Zero, is a working distributed micro data center prototype in Detroit, Michigan, and its pipeline includes data campuses in El Paso, Texas, and Utah, both joint ventures with ServerDomes Global.

The rollout will continue over the next twelve months, with signage, websites, and marketing materials updated. Several pipeline communities have already transitioned, and new opportunities will launch under a brand from day one. The ten operating companies remain the builders and operators, and existing partners, lenders, and municipal relationships continue unchanged.

“The rollout is going to take a year because we want to get it right, one community at a time,” Kaufman said. “By this time next year, anyone who drives past one of our properties, visits one of our sites or partners with us on a deal should be able to tell exactly what we built and who we built it for.”

This strategic branding initiative matters because it positions Kaufman & Company for clearer market communication and operational efficiency. By aligning its diverse holdings under distinct, purpose-driven brands, the company can better attract the right tenants, partners, and investors, while ensuring that its long-term ownership and development discipline remain consistent. For an industry often criticized for opaque structures, this move could set a precedent for transparency and customer-centric organization, potentially influencing how other large-scale developers present their portfolios.
