Kevel has secured the #13 spot on Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces® list for 2024. This achievement is part of the second annual list compiled in collaboration with the Best Practice Institute (BPI), which specializes in leadership development and benchmark research.
The ranking is based on a comprehensive survey of more than 2 million employees from companies of varying sizes, ranging from 30 to over 10,000 employees. The list celebrates companies that prioritize respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees, thereby earning their loyalty and respect.
Kevel's commitment to creating a thriving and diverse workplace is evident in its approach to recruitment and employee engagement. The company addresses feedback from various groups, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women, ensuring that all employees feel psychologically safe and can be their authentic selves at work. Kevel's all-staff annual retreats, international remote-first culture, and cutting-edge technology projects further contribute to its appeal as a workplace.
“We pride ourselves on being a people-first organization where we encourage vulnerability, authenticity, and transparency. We aim to build an environment where every employee feels respected, welcomed, and heard. We provide autonomy and flexibility, and promote from within to ensure every employee has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Mike Kohn, Chief People Officer at Kevel.
Key factors measured to gauge employee sentiment included how positive workers feel about their future at the company, career achievement, alignment of employer and employee values, respect at all levels, and the level of collaboration within the firm. Additional areas such as inclusion, employee wellness, diversity, career development, and company leadership were also considered.
“As workplaces continue to shift, it’s clearer than ever that fostering collaboration, embracing a positive outlook, and aligning values are essential. The companies celebrated on the 2024 Global Most Loved Workplaces® list truly embody these principles. They show us that by championing respect and team-oriented outcomes, they’re not just building great workplaces, they’re shaping a brighter future for all,” said Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief of Newsweek.
BPI’s methodology for creating the Most Loved Workplaces® list involved measuring five primary areas: the level of collaboration at the workplace, the positivity of employees about their future at the company, alignment of employer and employee values, respect at all levels, and career achievement. BPI also considered factors like employee wellness, diversity, inclusion, and career advancement.
To compile the list, 50% of the score was based on direct employee responses to BPI's proprietary Love of Workplace Index® assessment. An additional 15% came from analysis of external public ratings from Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed, and Google. The final 35% was derived from BPI’s direct interviews and written responses from company officials. Newsweek then conducted its own research to finalize the list of 100 companies and their rankings.
