NXT | CLT has announced Kimberly E. Zouzoua as its new Executive Director, bringing over 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the organization. Zouzoua's background includes driving more than $10M in philanthropic giving and creating nationally recognized programs, positioning her to lead NXT | CLT during a pivotal phase of growth and community impact.
Her leadership comes as NXT | CLT prepares to welcome its 10th business accelerator cohort, continuing its mission to support local entrepreneurs through mentorship, training, and access to capital. Zouzoua's previous role as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at the Center for Women and Enterprise saw her expand corporate engagement by 60%, a testament to her ability to foster strategic growth and inclusivity.
"I am honored to join NXT | CLT and lead an organization that is unapologetically committed to inclusive growth and entrepreneurial equity," Zouzoua stated. Her vision for the organization emphasizes building robust networks and providing the necessary tools for sustainable success among Charlotte's entrepreneurs.
NXT | CLT's focus on cultivating resilient entrepreneurs aligns with Zouzoua's expertise in creating opportunities for underrepresented groups, including her initiative, the Women of Color Business Summit. This appointment signals a strengthened commitment to empowering local businesses to contribute meaningfully to Charlotte's economic landscape.
