Knightscope, Inc. (NASDAQ: KSCP) announced record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $9 million, a 228% increase from $2.7 million in the same period last year, marking its second consecutive record quarter. The company, which provides autonomous security solutions, attributed the growth to strong client adoption and the successful integration of its Security Force acquisition.
Gross margin improved to $0.7 million, or approximately 7% of revenue, compared to a gross loss of $0.9 million in the prior-year period. While the company reported a net loss of $14.1 million, or $0.79 per share, wider than the $6.3 million loss a year earlier, the increased investment in growth initiatives and R&D is seen as a strategic move to scale operations.
Knightscope ended the quarter with $8.2 million in cash and cash equivalents and now serves 434 clients across 42 states, up from 300 clients at the end of 2025. The company’s expanding client base includes commercial and government entities, reflecting growing demand for its Autonomous Security Force (ASF) concept.
In its operational update, Knightscope said integration of its Security Force acquisition is proceeding as planned, enabling the company to offer a unified security solution that combines autonomous machines with licensed armed and unarmed security agents. The company also announced that its new K7 autonomous security robot has advanced to the Beta Prototype phase, with initial deployments expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Additionally, Knightscope is developing its Signals orchestration platform, designed to unify data and communications across its security ecosystem. The company plans to officially launch its Autonomous Security Force at GSX 2026, scheduled for September 14-16 in Atlanta, which will be a key industry event for security professionals.
The record revenue and strategic progress underscore the increasing adoption of autonomous solutions in the security industry. Knightscope’s focus on integrating robotics with human security personnel aims to address challenges such as labor shortages and the need for 24/7 surveillance. The company’s growth is significant for the security sector, as it demonstrates a viable business model for autonomous systems in critical applications.
For investors, the widening net loss may raise concerns, but the company’s revenue trajectory and product development indicate a long-term vision. The upcoming GSX 2026 launch could be a catalyst for further client acquisition and partnerships.
