Korean contemporary artist Sangwon Chun will present a curated collection of experimental cityscapes at The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn, offering art enthusiasts an immersive exploration of urban emotional experiences through innovative artistic techniques.
Chun, a graduate of Seoul National University's Department of Painting, will showcase oil paintings that capture urban landscapes using unconventional materials such as red pine pollen, charcoal, and iron powder. Her work emphasizes emotional expression within modern city environments, utilizing unique media to create visual depth and dynamic perspectives.
The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, will feature 120 emerging and independent artists from May 8 to 11 at ZeroSpace in Brooklyn. The event provides a platform for direct interaction between artists and attendees, highlighting emerging talent across diverse artistic disciplines.
With a notable exhibition history including solo exhibitions at Nineone Gallery and international art events like Seoul Auction X Zero Base and ART KAOHSIUNG, Chun represents a new generation of contemporary artists pushing traditional artistic boundaries.
