LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: LME | OTC: LMEFF | FSE: 5YD) announced assay results from drill holes LBX26-106 and LBX26-107 at its 100%-owned Ishkoday Gold and Polymetallic Project in Northwestern Ontario. The results highlight the presence of high-grade gold, silver, copper, and zinc mineralization, supporting the company's systematic exploration efforts.
Drill hole LBX26-106 returned multiple intercepts, including 3.75 m grading 0.568 g/t gold (Au), 12.40 g/t silver (Ag), 0.46% copper (Cu), and 1.75% zinc (Zn) from 278.75 m to 282.50 m. Within this interval, a higher-grade sub-interval of 0.50 m assayed 1.730 g/t Au, 43.20 g/t Ag, 1.51% Cu, and 3.40% Zn. Another intercept in the same hole yielded 4.70 m grading 0.582 g/t Au, 2.53 g/t Ag, 0.07% Cu, and 0.93% Zn from 172.50 m to 176.50 m, including 0.50 m at 3.220 g/t Au, 9.70 g/t Ag, 0.30% Cu, and 6.29% Zn.
Drill hole LBX26-107 also intersected significant mineralization, with 1.15 m grading 1.374 g/t Au, 10.10 g/t Ag, 0.49% Cu, and 2.01% Zn from 239.80 m to 240.95 m, and 2.90 m grading 0.608 g/t Au, 11.93 g/t Ag, 0.34% Cu, and 0.93% Zn from 351.40 m to 354.30 m, including 0.80 m at 1.975 g/t Au, 39.50 g/t Ag, 1.45% Cu, and 2.72% Zn.
These results are part of LAURION's 2026 Phase 1 diamond drilling program, which aims to advance the A-Zone and McLeod mineralized systems. The program has been expanded from 3,865 metres to 5,605 metres across 22 drill holes, informed by SRK Consulting's independent structural gap analysis that identified five priority target areas. The drilling is designed to test depth extensions, tighten drill spacing, and evaluate geophysical targets, with the goal of supporting a potential maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).
The implications of these findings are significant for LAURION and its stakeholders. High-grade polymetallic mineralization could enhance the project's economic potential, attracting further investment and partnership opportunities. For the broader mining industry, successful exploration in the Beardmore-Geraldton and Onaman-Tashota Greenstone Belts underscores the region's prospectivity for gold and base metals. As LAURION continues to de-risk the Ishkoday Project, these results may contribute to increased resource confidence and future development decisions.
LAURION's strategy emphasizes disciplined, data-driven exploration and responsible capital allocation. The company is focused on strengthening geological confidence and expanding the scale of the mineral system. With these encouraging drill results, LAURION is well-positioned to advance the Ishkoday Project toward a potential MRE, which could ultimately lead to mine development and economic benefits for Northern Ontario.
