Makailah Fuentes, a licensed cosmetologist and certified lash artist, has opened Maks Glamm, a new salon located within the Salon and Spa Galleria Weatherford in Weatherford, Texas. The salon officially began accepting appointments in September 2026, marking Fuentes' transition from employee to business owner after graduating from Cisco College in May 2025.
Fuentes emphasizes creativity as the driving force behind her venture. "I love being creative and making people feel beautiful and confident," she said. "This truly is a creative outlet for me." Her services include haircuts, styling, color treatments, highlights, balayage, and root touch-ups, alongside GelX nails, lash extensions, and braiding options such as French and Dutch braids with beads or charms. Additional offerings feature tinsel, feathers, and color extensions.
The salon also provides customized event packages for birthdays, bridal parties, weddings, and team celebrations, as well as Kids Glamm Pamper Packages for children aged 12 and under. These packages include gel manicures, beads, tinsel, feathers, and color extensions, catering to a broad clientele.
