Marine Veteran's Dark Fantasy Novel Rises from Personal Struggle

W.W. Mitchell, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, is set to release his debut novel 'Cataclysm Kin' on July 15th, marking the first installment of an ambitious seven-book fantasy series that emerged from the author's complex personal journey.

The novel follows celestial sisters Edith and Bethany, whose fractured relationship unfolds against a backdrop of supernatural conflict. As otherworldly creatures like the Halphobs and Kelxsiar threaten divine bloodlines, the sisters confront a potential realm-shattering confrontation that blends cosmic horror with deep emotional resonance.

Mitchell's path to publication is as compelling as his narrative. After serving in the Marines and experiencing a challenging period of homelessness, depression, and alcoholism in Chicago, writing became his lifeline. 'Writing was one of the things that kept pulling me back,' Mitchell said, highlighting the transformative power of creative expression.

Through his newly founded Trigonic Press, Mitchell is not merely publishing a book but building a multimedia storytelling ecosystem. The novel already has a limited series pilot in early development, and a second novel, 'The Legend of Sky City,' is being considered for a feature film adaptation.
