Phoenix audiences will have the opportunity to see two iconic figures in American entertainment when Martha Wash and Marsha Warfield bring their live show, It's Raining Queens™, to Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7 p.m.
It's Raining Queens is a 90-minute live experience that combines powerhouse vocals, stand-up comedy, and candid storytelling. The production offers audiences a chance to get closer to two celebrated women whose careers have been defined by talent, perseverance, and an uncompromising commitment to being themselves.
Two-time Grammy nominee Martha Wash will take audiences on a musical journey through the songs and stories behind one of the most recognizable voices in popular music. Wash rose to fame as one half of The Weather Girls and provided the unmistakable vocals for multi-platinum recordings by Black Box and C&C Music Factory. Her global hits include "It's Raining Men," "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," "Everybody Everybody," and "Strike It Up." Her career includes 15 No. 1 singles on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, five Billboard Music Awards, five American Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and the National Blues Museum's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Marsha Warfield, an acclaimed comedian, actress, writer, and television host, brings her fearless wit to the stage. She gained national attention on NBC's The Richard Pryor Show and became a household name as Roz Russell on Night Court. Warfield later starred on Empty Nest and hosted her own daytime talk show, The Marsha Warfield Show. Her recent roles include Netflix's The Upshaws and ABC's 9-1-1. She is a winner of the 1979 San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has received NAACP Image Award and Soul Train Award nominations.
