Dr. Ibbotson's career began with intensive in-home therapy and crisis intervention, laying a strong foundation for her empathetic approach to mental health care. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University in 2015, following a Master of Arts in Psychology in 2008 and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy & Religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2003.
Her clinical education includes an APPIC-accredited pre-doctoral internship and a practicum in outpatient mental health care. During this time, she administered therapy and conducted assessments for a diverse group of patients, including those dealing with autism and substance abuse.
As a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Ibbotson fosters a supportive and caring environment for patients of all ages. She offers a wide range of therapy options, ensuring each individual receives tailored care. Her expertise in various assessment types helps guide patients to better understand their conditions and embark on their healing journeys.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ibbotson mentors new psychologists and postdoctoral fellows, carefully monitoring their progress. She is also passionate about education and has taught undergraduate psychology courses, inspiring and shaping future professionals.
