Philanthropist and entrepreneur Morad Shaker announced the public launch of the Shaker Foundation for American Service Heroes, a Wyoming nonprofit corporation founded and funded by Shaker to honor, recognize, and build future opportunities for America's military, veterans, first responders, public-safety personnel, government service communities, and their families. Headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the Foundation was established to serve the people whose work allows American families to live, sleep, travel, build businesses, raise children, and pursue their lives with greater safety and confidence. It is a Wyoming nonprofit corporation, active and in good standing, with legal status, corporate information, and official documents available through its public Legal Status & Corporate Information page.
The launch marks the realization of a vision Shaker held for more than 20 years. "This vision stayed with me for more than two decades," said Morad Shaker, Founder and President of the Shaker Foundation for American Service Heroes. "I gave it time, planning, thought, and purpose. Now, in 2026 and 2027, the dream is beginning to become real." Over the years, Shaker had the privilege of knowing and being close to military personnel and first responders, and he saw their discipline, loyalty, sacrifice, character, and deep commitment to protecting their communities and country. That respect became the long-term foundation for the organization now being launched.
The Foundation is one of eight nonprofit organizations founded and funded by Morad Shaker, whose wider work includes humanitarian, educational, integrity, animal-protection, community, and international service initiatives. This Foundation, however, is dedicated specifically to the United States and to the people who have protected, defended, rescued, served, and strengthened the country. Unlike many nonprofits, it will not solicit or accept donations from individuals, governments, political groups, religious groups, companies, organizations, or foreign entities. "This is not another nonprofit organization created to ask the public for money," Shaker said. "This Foundation is founder-funded. The plan is to serve—purely, independently, and with dignity. We are not seeking donations, government money, political support, religious funding, corporate sponsorship, or funding from any country or outside organization. We know how to serve, and we will serve."
The Foundation's mission is designed as a long-term, five-generation commitment. Its future programs, recognition pathways, and participation opportunities are intended to include both those who are actively serving today and those who served years ago and are now retired, discharged, disabled, or rebuilding life after service. The Foundation believes that a person's service does not lose its value simply because time has passed. Its eligibility structure identifies service communities including military service members, veterans, federal law enforcement, homeland security personnel, intelligence and national security professionals, public safety personnel, first responders, emergency services personnel, and families of service heroes. Future work is expected to include structured pathways related to recognition, family support, education support, emergency assistance, military and veteran support, financial-stability planning, and future initiatives. Specific opportunities, standards, and eligibility requirements will be announced only after the Foundation completes necessary legal, operational, and administrative preparation.
The Foundation is deliberately not making promises of automatic benefits, cash assistance, employment, placement, certification, or recognition. Each future opportunity will be communicated clearly, responsibly, and with appropriate eligibility requirements. "Our country is safer because of people most Americans will never meet," Shaker said. "The soldier on duty, the veteran carrying the memory of service, the police officer on the night shift, the firefighter entering danger, the paramedic responding to an emergency, the corrections officer, the sheriff, the Border Patrol agent, the TSA officer, the federal investigator, and the families who stand behind them—we thank you."
The public launch marks the beginning of the Foundation's next development stage.
