Montreal-based business intelligence firm Nectari is entering a new era with a strategic leadership transition, as co-founder Greg Brown retires after 33 years of service. The company has promoted Gareth Marks to Chief Revenue Officer and Nicolas Trottier to Chief Financial Officer, marking a generational shift in the organization's executive team.
Brown's departure represents a significant milestone for Nectari, which has grown to serve businesses across more than 60 countries during his tenure. Throughout his career, Brown played a crucial role in expanding the company's reach, developing strategic partnerships with major enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms like Sage Software and Acumatica.
Benoit Trottier, the remaining co-founder, expressed deep appreciation for Brown's contributions, highlighting his instrumental role in building the company's reputation and client relationships. The transition includes Trottier moving to an advisory position, while creating a new partnership structure with Marks, Nicolas Trottier, and current COO Guy Girouard.
Nicolas Trottier, who is joining the executive team, brings entrepreneurial experience and a background in accounting. He expressed commitment to building upon the company's legacy and continuing its growth trajectory. Similarly, Gareth Marks, a decade-long company veteran, emphasized his excitement about leading Nectari into its next phase of development.
The leadership change comes at a strategic moment for Nectari, with the company positioning itself to deliver innovative business intelligence solutions. The new executive team is focused on maintaining the company's reputation for providing powerful, intuitive data management tools that help businesses make informed decisions quickly.
