The event, themed 'Thrive', underscored the region's enduring resilience and innovative spirit.
Centennial recognitions were awarded to Intrepid Potash and Mosaic for their 100 years of potash production, and to Dunagan Associates and CENTURY 21 Dunagan Associates for a century of real estate service in Eddy County. These awards highlight the significant role these industries have played in both the local and national economy.
The CDOD also introduced its new 2025-2026 Executive Board Officers, signaling a continued commitment to leadership and development in the region. Awards for retail impact, quality of life, and corporate investment were presented to Dunkin Donuts, Blue House Bakery, and Guadalupe Mountain Brewery, respectively, acknowledging their contributions to the community.
The Carlsbad Soil and Water Conservation District received the President's Thrive Award for its efforts in natural resource conservation, a testament to the community's dedication to sustainable growth. Secretary Kenderdine honored Mosaic and Intrepid Potash with the Community Impact Award, recognizing their century-long contributions to Eddy County and the importance of potash in the U.S. mineral reserve strategy.
'This year's event was about more than just celebrating milestones—it was about honoring the deep-rooted commitment that defines Carlsbad's business community,' said CDOD Executive Director Kristen Gamboa. The celebration not only reflected on the past achievements but also looked forward to the future of economic development and innovation in the region.
