'THE BIG BANGERS,' created by Master Key and Brian Rex, introduces five superpowered friends and family members—Red Runner, Red Rumbler, Bubblegum, Handsome Devil and Captain Cosmetic—who protect the fictional Biggs City while navigating love, sex, careers, friendships and family.
The series combines the irreverence of an adult superhero satire with the emotional depth of a Black gay ensemble drama. Unlike some antihero tales, these characters genuinely aspire to be heroes. Their social hub is Tights, a gay nightclub, beneath which lies The Low Hangar, their secret headquarters. This contrast mirrors the show's dual focus: spectacular battles above, grounded relationship stories below.
By building an expanding canvas of original heroes, villains and mythology, 'THE BIG BANGERS' aims to grow beyond a single narrative into an interconnected universe. The creators utilize AI-assisted production tools to bring characters, environments and action to life, while retaining full creative control over story and vision.
