Nordex Group Reports 29.5% Surge in Q3 2026 Order Intake, Reaching 2.8 GW

Nordex Group, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, announced a significant increase in order intake for the third quarter of 2026, with orders in its Projects segment reaching 2,810 MW. This represents a 29.5% rise compared to the same period last year, when orders totaled 2,170 MW. The company disclosed these figures in a press release, highlighting a stable pricing environment and growing global diversification.

For the first nine months of 2026, Nordex's order intake totaled 7,733 MW, a 16.1% increase from 6,661 MW in the prior-year period. The average sales price per megawatt remained relatively stable at EUR 0.90 million/MW in Q3 2026, compared to EUR 0.93 million/MW in Q3 2025, and EUR 0.93 million/MW for the nine-month period, up slightly from EUR 0.92 million/MW a year earlier. The company attributed the development to project scope and regional mix effects.

Between July and September 2026, customers ordered 427 wind turbines across 10 countries. The strongest markets were Türkiye, Germany, and the US. Türkiye led with over 900 MW in orders, while the US has booked more than 1.3 GW year-to-date. CEO José Luis Blanco commented, “Our order intake is becoming more globally diversified, and the third quarter confirms this. Türkiye led with more than 900 MW, and in the US we have now booked more than 1.3 GW year to date. We expect the international share to keep growing as we convert our pipeline in the coming quarters, while order momentum in Europe and Germany remains strong.”

The news underscores Nordex's expanding footprint in the renewable energy sector and the accelerating global transition to wind power. With over 64 GW of wind capacity commissioned in more than 40 markets since 1985, Nordex is a key player in the industry. The company generated consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion in 2025 and employs more than 11,100 people worldwide. Its manufacturing network includes factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the US, and Türkiye, and its product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed for markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity.

For investors and industry observers, the strong order intake signals robust demand for wind energy solutions, particularly in regions seeking to enhance energy independence and meet climate goals. Nordex SE is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The original release can be viewed on www.newmediawire.com, as distributed by NEWMEDIAWIRE.
