Podcaster Suzy Chase Shifts Focus from Cookbooks to GLP-1 Maintenance

Suzy Chase, a New York City-based lifestyle podcaster whose shows have reached 8 million lifetime downloads, has launched a new podcast that shifts her focus from food to the aftermath of weight loss. After losing 50 pounds on a GLP-1 medication, Chase now hosts Dinner Party on a GLP-1, a podcast about what happens after the weight comes off. In August, Apple Podcasts featured the show on its front page in New Seasons, signaling mainstream interest in the next phase of the GLP-1 conversation.

Chase's career has followed a consistent pattern: identify an underserved conversation and build audio around it. She founded The Groove Radio in 2005, the original mixtape podcast. In 2015, she launched Cookery by the Book, interviewing cookbook authors about the stories behind their recipes. In 2021, she brought the same approach to interiors with Decorating by the Book. Now, with Dinner Party on a GLP-1, she is applying that formula to a new niche.

The GLP-1 conversation has largely centered on losing weight: access, side effects, and the number on the scale. But Chase found that reaching goal weight raised new questions. What happens when the scale stops being the measure of success? Where do strength and recovery fit? How does identity change after a major transformation? Those questions form the foundation of the show. Two years into maintenance, Chase answers them through her own experience, personal storytelling, and conversations with others living on GLP-1 medications.

"Everyone wants to talk about losing the weight," Chase says. "I'm interested in what happens after. Maintenance isn't the finish line. It's an entirely new chapter."

The podcast launched in May 2026. Podnews covered its Summer School series in July, and Yahoo Health has interviewed Chase twice. The show's early traction suggests a growing audience for content that goes beyond weight-loss tips.

"Podcasting has always given me the freedom to follow a conversation wherever it leads," Chase says. "I started with music, moved into cookbooks and interior design, and now GLP-1 maintenance. The subjects change, but the instinct is the same: find a conversation worth having and give it a place to live."

With Dinner Party on a GLP-1, Chase is betting that the next chapter of the GLP-1 story isn't about how people lose weight. It's about how they live afterward. For the millions of Americans using GLP-1 medications, that shift in focus could reshape public understanding of long-term maintenance, identity, and health beyond the scale.
