Rocky Mountain Dog today announced the launch of two new additions to its All Mountain collection: the Okanagan All Mountain Dog Leash and the Okanagan Alpine Dog Collar, both inspired by British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. The products celebrate the region's sunny climate, rolling vineyards, lakefront trails, and local folklore, including the legendary lake creature Ogopogo.
The Okanagan All Mountain Dog Leash is engineered for active dog owners who demand versatility and control. It features a zero-shock bungee section to reduce pulling strain, a neoprene-cushioned handle for comfort, a quick-grab traffic handle, and integrated accessory attachment points. The leash is available in 6 ft (1.8 m) and 8 ft (2.4 m) lengths and is made from adventure-grade, weather-resistant webbing suitable for all conditions.
The Okanagan Alpine Dog Collar focuses on everyday comfort and outdoor durability. It includes adventure-grade webbing, a secure aluminum D-ring, and a dedicated ID tag holder designed to reduce noise. At 25 mm (1 in) wide, it fits a wide range of dogs and is built for urban adventures and rugged trails alike.
Rob Johnson, Founder of Rocky Mountain Dog, said, "The Okanagan has a unique character that you can't find anywhere else in Canada. It's a place where vineyards meet mountain trails, orchards stretch to the lake, and local legends become part of the landscape. We designed this collection to reflect those iconic elements while celebrating the adventures that dog owners experience throughout the region."
The new products are available for purchase on Rocky Mountain Dog's website and will soon be available through retail partners. This launch underscores the growing trend of lifestyle brands incorporating regional identity into pet gear, offering dog owners a way to connect with local landscapes while enjoying high-performance equipment.
For dog owners in the Okanagan and beyond, the collection provides an opportunity to explore trails like the Kettle Valley Rail Trail with gear designed for the terrain. The integration of cultural symbols like Ogopogo adds a storytelling element that resonates with locals and visitors alike. As outdoor recreation continues to rise, products that blend function with place-based design may see increased demand among adventure-seeking pet owners.
