Scandium Canada Ltd. has signed a service agreement with Québec-based engineering firm Norda Stelo to complete the pre-feasibility study for its Crater Lake project, with conclusions expected by summer 2026 and a final report anticipated at the end of August 2026. This development represents a critical milestone for the company's ambition to establish a primary scandium source, which is essential for producing aluminum-scandium alloys used in lightweight, high-performance materials across aerospace, automotive, and other industries.

The mandate comes as Scandium Canada has secured funding through warrant exercises since December 1, enabling the project to advance. CEO Guy Bourassa stated the company is "very excited about the progress being made" and noted the project includes constructing mining infrastructure with a camp, power generation, an airstrip, and a hydrometallurgy plant in the Schefferville region. The company is also in advanced discussions regarding an access road project from Schefferville to the Crater Lake site, though this would not be included in the current pre-feasibility study.

Norda Stelo, a consulting-engineering firm with nearly 900 employees operating in Canada and internationally, will be responsible for the overall completion of the pre-feasibility study. This includes integrating the "Updated Mineral Resource Estimate" NI 43-101 technical report from April 2025. However, tasks related to metallurgical processes and recovery will be handled by other firms selected by Scandium Canada.
