SS Innovations Touts 15,000 Robotic Surgeries, 66% Revenue Growth as SSi Mantra Expands Globally

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII), a developer of surgical robotic technologies, has performed more than 15,000 procedures using its SSi Mantra robotic surgical systems, including approximately 750 cardiac procedures, CEO Dr. Sudhir Srivastava said in a recent interview with The Motley Fool. The disclosure, reported by NEWMEDIAWIRE, underscores the company’s push to expand access to advanced robotic surgery in India and beyond.

Srivastava told interviewer Rachel Warren that the company’s commercial growth reflects a combination of technological capabilities, clinical experience and affordability. More than 200 telesurgeries have been performed using the platform, including 27 cardiac procedures, as the company explores ways to extend specialist surgical expertise to underserved communities. The SSi Mantra features 4K 3D visualization, surgeon-controlled anatomical imaging and a modular design supporting up to five robotic arms.

The company is preparing to expand its Indian manufacturing capacity through a planned 10-acre facility, with the objective of bringing additional production capabilities in-house. Regulatory applications in Europe and the United States are also progressing, with management targeting international expansion through direct sales and opportunities in ambulatory surgery centers.

Commercial momentum appears strong. First-half 2026 revenue increased approximately 66% year-over-year to about $25 million, according to the interview. That growth rate, if sustained, would position SS Innovations as a notable challenger in a robotic surgery market long dominated by larger players. The company’s focus on affordability could broaden adoption in price-sensitive markets, while its telesurgery capabilities may help address shortages of specialist surgeons in remote areas.

For investors, the regulatory progress in Europe and the U.S. represents a key catalyst, as approvals would open two of the world’s largest healthcare markets. The planned manufacturing facility could also improve margins and supply chain control. However, the company faces execution risks, including regulatory delays and competition from established robotic surgery firms. Forward-looking statements in the release are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially.
