Online educational platform Studybay has announced its 2025 annual essay contest, challenging students to share their perspectives on timely, personal topics while competing for a total prize fund of $3,000.
The contest, open to graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students aged 18 and older, encourages participants to explore three thought-provoking essay prompts: the impact of artificial intelligence on career prospects, the psychological effects of academic pressure, and navigating financial challenges as a student.
Participants can submit original essays between 500 and 700 words in English, following MLA formatting guidelines. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions: $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place.
The contest aims to provide a meaningful platform for student expression, allowing young writers to candidly discuss their experiences and insights. Studybay emphasizes the importance of authentic voices, explicitly prohibiting AI-generated content and plagiarism.
As part of its global expansion efforts, Studybay has also launched a Portuguese-language version of the contest for Brazilian students, demonstrating a commitment to broadening educational opportunities internationally.
Submissions will be accepted until June 15, 2025, with the contest offering students a unique opportunity to share their stories, gain recognition, and potentially earn financial support for their creative and reflective writing.
