Swissnet Group Secures Major Fitness Chain Contract for Network Infrastructure Modernization

The Swissnet Group has signed a long-term framework agreement with fitness chain EVO Fitness to become its strategic rollout and network infrastructure partner. Following a structured provider selection process conducted by Berlin-based consulting firm scoreready, which specializes in smart building connectivity, Swissnet was chosen to modernize the existing infrastructure and provide redundant connectivity for all existing and future EVO Fitness studios across Germany.

For 2026, the partnership will focus on modernizing the IT infrastructure in 13 existing fitness studios while supporting the opening of 10 additional clubs. EVO Fitness plans to continue expanding with approximately 10 new studios annually at attractive locations throughout Germany. The rollout of the new technical infrastructure has already begun, with all studios receiving standardized, state-of-the-art network architecture that includes customer Wi-Fi, enabling the operation of innovative fitness equipment, digital access controls, video surveillance, and digital signage solutions.

The sites will be connected redundantly to ensure maximum reliability, with Swissnet providing both primary internet lines and additional 5G backup solutions for each studio. A central component of the collaboration is the delivery of all services as a managed service, which reduces initial project costs while ensuring reliable operations through centralized monitoring and continuous service support. This approach underscores the long-term partnership between the companies.

Further joint projects are already being planned, including a standardized, centralized video surveillance solution with enhanced analytics functionalities to optimize operations and customer experience. Felix Leupert, VP Sales DACH at Swissnet Group, stated that the company is supporting EVO Fitness as a technology partner and creating the digital foundation for scalable expansion and innovative studio experiences.

The Swissnet Group serves customers across multiple sectors including retail, hospitality, healthcare, and the public sector, offering location-based marketing software, Wi-Fi infrastructure systems, and Wi-Fi guest hotspots. With intelligent and fully cloud-based technologies, the Swissnet Group supports companies in their omnichannel strategies.
