The Texas Whiskey Festival has announced its 2025 competition winners, revealing the most outstanding whiskeys produced across Texas. The annual blind-judging competition recognized excellence in multiple categories, including bourbon, rye, malt, cask-finished, light, and flavored whiskeys.
Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon claimed gold in the Best Bourbon category, while Devils River 5-Year Straight Rye Whiskey earned top honors in the rye whiskey division. Ranger Creek Texas Landmark Single Malt was recognized as the best malt whiskey, demonstrating the breadth of Texas distilling talent.
The competition reflects the state's rapidly evolving whiskey landscape, with innovative distilleries pushing boundaries in production techniques and flavor profiles. Jake Clements, Co-Founder of the Texas Whiskey Festival, emphasized that the awards highlight the industry's growth, innovation, and passion.
Notably, the People's Choice Awards, voted by festival attendees, crowned Mossy Horn Whiskey as the top fan favorite, underscoring the importance of consumer preference in the competitive spirits market.
