Tonix Pharmaceuticals Promotes Thomas Englese to Chief Commercial Officer Amid TONMYA Launch

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: TNXP), a fully integrated, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, has announced the promotion of Thomas Englese to chief commercial officer, effective immediately. Englese, who previously served as executive vice president of commercial operations since September 2024, will now oversee all sales, marketing, market access, and commercial operations for the company’s key products, including TONMYA for fibromyalgia in adults, as well as Zembrace SymTouch and Tosymra for acute migraine.

This leadership change comes at a pivotal time for Tonix as it works to broaden the launch of TONMYA, which was recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in more than 15 years. The company’s CEO, Seth Lederman, noted that Englese has been instrumental in building Tonix’s commercial organization and launching TONMYA. Englese himself emphasized that the company is focused on expanding access, growing its patient and prescriber base, and increasing sales as it continues to roll out the product.

Tonix is a biopharmaceutical company concentrating on treatments for central nervous system (CNS) and immunological conditions with high unmet medical needs. The company’s CNS commercial infrastructure supports not only TONMYA but also its acute migraine products, Zembrace SymTouch and Tosymra. Beyond its marketed products, Tonix is investigating TONMYA’s potential in Phase 2 clinical trials for major depressive disorder and acute stress disorder. The company’s CNS pipeline also includes TNX-2900, which is Phase 2 ready for the treatment of Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

In addition to its CNS focus, Tonix is advancing a pipeline of immunology programs, including TNX-4800, a monoclonal antibody for Lyme disease prophylaxis, and TNX-1500, a third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor aimed at preventing kidney transplant rejection. These product development candidates are investigational drugs or biologics; their efficacy and safety have not been established, and they have not been approved for any indication.

The promotion of Englese signals Tonix’s commitment to commercial success, particularly for TONMYA, which represents a significant opportunity in the fibromyalgia market. By consolidating leadership under an experienced commercial executive, the company aims to optimize its launch strategy and build a strong foundation for future growth. With the continued expansion of its product portfolio and pipeline, Tonix is positioning itself to address significant unmet medical needs in CNS and immunology.

Investors and industry observers will be watching to see how Englese’s leadership influences the adoption of TONMYA and the company’s overall commercial performance. For more information on Tonix Pharmaceuticals, visit the company’s newsroom at https://ibn.fm/TNXP.
