VANCOUVER, BC – Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the completion of its maiden drill program at the Swan Zone, part of its wholly-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia. The program, consisting of two diamond drill holes totaling 801.00 metres, was designed to test a porphyry target defined by coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The company also completed drilling at the nearby Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target, as part of the same larger drill program.
The Swan Zone is a Cu-Au-Ag (copper-gold-silver) porphyry target characterized by a 1.5 km x 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly (Au-Cu-Ag-As-Mo-Sb-Bi) and a coincident 2.1 km x 1.4 km donut-shaped chargeability high identified through a 2024 induced polarization survey. The drilling tested a strike length of 1,000 metres and a vertical extent of 395 metres. The Highlands Zone, located 26 km away and hosted in a different geological unit, was tested with four holes totaling 883.40 metres, covering a strike length of 500 metres and a vertical extent of 412 metres.
All 1,000 drill core samples, including standard reference materials and blanks, have been submitted to Bureau Veritas' preparation laboratory in Whitehorse, Yukon. Assay results are pending and will be released once compilation and data verification are complete. The company's President, Daithi Mac Gearailt, noted, "This was a well-executed drill program that provided us with an excellent opportunity to finally test two quality targets that we have been developing for the past five years. This was a first-pass, exploratory program, and we achieved our goals while remaining within budget."
The Atsutla Gold Project is centered on the regional-scale Teslin-Thibert fault system, which marks the contact between the Quesnel and Cache Creek terranes. Gold mineralization is associated with two distinct Mesozoic batholithic intrusions. Since discovery in 2020, Trailbreaker has outlined five significant zones of gold mineralization across a 26-kilometre span: the Highlands Zone, Christmas Creek Zone, Snook Zone, Willie Jack Zone, and Swan Zone. Highlights include rock samples assaying up to 630 g/t Au and 1,894 g/t Ag at Highlands, and up to 11.7 g/t Au, 212 g/t Ag, and 0.81% Cu at Swan.
The completion of this drilling marks a significant step in evaluating the project's potential. The company plans to release assay results, which will provide crucial data on the grade and extent of mineralization at both zones. This information will be key in determining the next phase of exploration and the overall economic viability of the Atsutla Gold Project.
