Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) (TSX: TMQ) has been named to the 2026 TSX30, an annual ranking of the top-performing companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange over a three-year period based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation. The company’s share price increased 570% during the three years ended June 30, 2026, according to a press release.
President and CEO Tony Giardini said the recognition reflects investor confidence in Trilogy and the strategic importance of the Arctic Project in northwestern Alaska to the American critical mineral supply chain. The TSX30 ranking is closely watched by investors as a measure of long-term growth and market performance.
Trilogy Metals is a metal exploration and development company holding a 50 percent interest in Ambler Metals LLC, which has a 100 percent interest in the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects (UKMP) in northwestern Alaska. On December 19, 2019, South32, a globally diversified mining and metals company, exercised its option to form a 50/50 joint venture with Trilogy Metals. The UKMP is located within the Ambler Mining District, described as one of the richest and most-prospective known copper-dominant districts in the world.
The district hosts polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits that contain copper, zinc, lead, gold, and silver, as well as carbonate replacement deposits that have been found to host high-grade copper and cobalt mineralization. Exploration efforts have been focused on two deposits: the Arctic VMS deposit and the Bornite carbonate replacement deposit. Both are located within a land package spanning approximately 190,929 hectares.
Ambler Metals has an agreement with NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., an Alaska Native Corporation, that provides a framework for exploration and potential development of the Ambler Mining District in cooperation with local communities. Trilogy Metals’ vision is to develop the district into a premier North American copper producer while protecting and respecting subsistence livelihoods.

The recognition comes as global demand for critical minerals, particularly copper and cobalt, continues to rise due to the transition to clean energy and electric vehicles. The United States has been seeking to secure domestic supply chains for these minerals, reducing reliance on foreign sources. Trilogy’s Arctic Project is positioned as a key potential source of copper and cobalt in North America.
For investors, the TSX30 inclusion may signal strong momentum and increased visibility for Trilogy Metals. However, mining projects remain subject to permitting, financing, and operational risks. The company’s joint venture with South32 and its agreement with NANA Regional Corporation are critical factors in advancing the project.
Trilogy Metals’ performance on the TSX30 underscores the growing importance of critical mineral exploration and development in Alaska, which could have broader implications for the U.S. economy and national security.
