Tropical Storm Bertha and a series of severe thunderstorms have left homeowners across the Baltimore region facing significant roof damage, prompting a local contractor to step in with free assessments. The National Weather Service reported that the strongest storms produced wind gusts over 60 mph, enough to strip shingles, bend gutters, and drive water beneath roofing materials. The damage reached well inland, affecting neighborhoods in Towson, Middle River, Annapolis, and surrounding communities.
