TruGolf Completes Polymath Acquisition, Pushing Into Institutional Tokenization

TruGolf Holdings (NASDAQ: TRUG), a producer of advanced golf simulation systems for home and entertainment venues, has completed its acquisition of Polymath Research Inc., a blockchain platform designed for regulated financial assets. The deal, announced October 9, combines TruGolf's golf simulation hardware and software operations with Polymath's infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized securities. Polymath will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.

The acquisition adds regulated digital-asset infrastructure to TruGolf's existing golf simulation technology business. Polymath developed Polymesh, a Layer-1 blockchain specifically designed for regulated securities and tokenized real-world assets. As of December 31, 2025, Polymath had issued more than $132 million in tokenized assets for over 65 active issuers, according to the company. That track record gives TruGolf a foothold in the growing field of institutional tokenization, where real-world assets such as securities are represented on a blockchain.

The combined company plans to pursue two complementary businesses: golf simulation technology and institutional tokenization infrastructure. TruGolf Links and Polymath are developing tokenized financing for equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership, with initiatives targeted for the first quarter of 2027. If successful, these efforts could allow investors to participate in equipment leasing and franchise ownership through tokenized instruments, potentially lowering barriers to entry and increasing liquidity in those markets.

For readers and industry observers, the move signals a notable convergence between consumer technology and regulated digital finance. TruGolf's core golf simulation business serves home users and entertainment venues, while Polymath's infrastructure targets institutional clients seeking compliant ways to issue and manage tokenized securities. By housing both under one publicly traded company, TruGolf aims to diversify its revenue streams and position itself at the intersection of sports technology and blockchain-based finance.

The transaction also brings leadership changes. TruGolf has appointed Natalie Hirsch as Group CFO and COO. Additionally, a warrant exercise generated $2.95 million in net proceeds, providing the company with additional capital as it integrates Polymath and pursues its dual-business strategy.
