UAV Propulsion Tech to Market AMT's Advanced Micro Turbines in the US

By Advos

TL;DR

UAV Propulsion Tech gains advantage by marketing AMT's advanced micro turbine solutions to the US UAV market.

AMT has been developing micro turbines since 1995, transitioning from mainly an RC turbine provider to supplying commercial/defense/university solutions for target drones and advanced UAV's.

AMT's micro turbine solutions will make tomorrow better by meeting the growing demand for counter UAS and advanced high speed UAV solutions in the US market.

AMT's turbines are designed for high-speed target drones, running on various fuels, and achieve exceptional thrust-to-weight ratios with low fuel consumption and rapid acceleration times.

UAV Propulsion Tech to Market AMT's Advanced Micro Turbines in the US

UAV Propulsion Tech has inked a representative agreement with AMT-Advanced Micro Turbines, a Netherlands-based company, to market advanced micro turbine solutions in the US UAV market. UAV Propulsion Tech, known for providing advanced technology and hardware solutions to defense and commercial UAV customers since 2007, aims to leverage this partnership to meet the increasing demand for counter-UAS and high-speed UAV propulsion systems.

Bob Schmidt, CEO and founder of UAV Propulsion Tech, remarked, "I am excited to be working with Bennie and Anita van de Goor to bring their world-class advanced micro turbines to the US UAV market to meet growing demand for counter UAS and advanced high-speed UAV solutions." He added, "The addition of AMT's micro turbine solutions to UAV Propulsion Tech will allow us to continue to provide the best UAV hardware solutions for our customers. I am looking forward to working with AMT to provide their propulsion solutions to the growing US market for micro turbines."

AMT has a long history of innovation in turbine technology, originating in the Netherlands in 1991 and professionally manufacturing turbines since 1995. Their Pegasus gas turbine, first produced in 1994, has set industry benchmarks for reliability and performance. AMT's product line, including the Titan, Nike, and Lynx engines, is designed for high-speed target drones and advanced UAV applications. These engines are based on AMT's revolutionary axial flow turbine design, which achieves exceptional thrust-to-weight ratios, low fuel consumption, and rapid acceleration times.

AMT's turbines operate on various fuels, including Jet A1, JP5, JP8, or diesel, and do not require a separate lubrication system—an innovative concept that has become an industry standard. The turbines offer a range of thrust from 230 to 1569 Newtons (51.7 to 352.7 lbf), with the Lynx turbine, introduced in December 2018, sitting at the top end of the thrust spectrum.

Bennie van de Goor, CEO and founder of AMT Netherlands, said, "We wanted to work with a UAV solution provider like UAV Propulsion Tech because of their propulsion and UAV market experience in the US. UAV Propulsion Tech is a perfect partner to help us increase our visibility in the market and bring these solutions to their expanding US UAV customer base." He continued, "Bob's experience as a mechanical engineer and knowledge of propulsion market demands will allow us to provide and further develop world-class micro turbine solutions that meet challenging requirements."

This collaboration between UAV Propulsion Tech and AMT is poised to make significant strides in the US UAV market by offering cutting-edge propulsion solutions that meet the stringent requirements of modern UAV applications. To learn more, visit www.uavpropulsiontech.com and www.amtjets.com.
