UGI to Launch Major Gas Main Replacement Project in Lancaster City

UGI Utilities, Inc. is set to commence a significant gas main replacement project in Lancaster City this week, targeting critical infrastructure around Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital and Musser Park. The project, scheduled to run from May 7 to September 2025, will impact traffic and access on several key streets, including North Duke Street, East Frederick Street, East Chestnut Street, North Shippen Street, and East Marion Street. Construction will occur Monday through Friday between 7 am and 5 pm, with potential road closures, detours, and traffic disruptions anticipated.
